TRYOUT INFORMATION

Welcome to Eastlake High School Boys Soccer!

We are anticipating a large turnout of student athletes to participate in a long strenuous evaluation process.  We will have multiple coaches evaluating each participant on many different skills.  From conditioning, to speed/agility, to technical/tactical, and overall character.  The tryout dates and times are listed below for your convenience.  Please be sure to have a current sports physical prior to the dates and times below.  Instructions can be found here:  http://elh.sweetwaterschools.org/athletics/ Online-Athletic-Clearance-Instructions.pdf 

How the process works?  Each student will participate in various drills that are timed and those numbers are calculated and are used as a part of the process.  With those numbers the participants level of soccer knowledge, technical/tactical, and overall skill set will be on display for the coaches during this entire process.  The coaches will determine what players based on the above criteria best fit the team and the program.

Starting Monday evening at approximately 8:00 pm the list below will either show the participants assigned number or it will be missing.  If the number is listed below then the participant is expected to show the following day for another session of the evaluation process.  If the participants number is missing than unfortunately the participant has been cut from the process and will no longer be moving forward in the process.  If you are cut it's important as a student to continue to use this as an opportunity to join another sport such as wrestling, roller hockey, etc.  

Eastlake has an amazing talented pool of soccer players and the expectations are to carry approximately 22 (Varsity), 22 (JV), and 22 (Freshman).  With those numbers and what I anticipate to be approximately 110 students participating over the next few days it's going to be a long and difficult process that unfortunately many will be cut.  Please understand the process and the hard work each participant and coach has put into this evaluation and the many other opportunities that Eastlake High School has to offer if you are one that doesn't make a team.
